ZmajSoft 3D Editor
The only known map editor for Xtreme3D 2.0, or, more accurately, for the unreleased game YupiStar from the Serbian studio ZmajSoft. It's a program for placing objects on the landscape with the ability to interactively navigate it.
Run JupistarEditor-ver2.exe, select English, and click Load. You can load one of the pre-made scenes or select the empty one (level1.lvl). The editor has a rather unique interface. Two windows open, one with the renderer and the other with the GUI. Consequently, the editor has two modes—scene navigation and editing—but for some reason they are not synchronized. To switch to scene navigation mode, press the X key (not the X key, but the button in the GUI window!). To switch to editing mode, press Ctrl+S. In editing mode, you can create objects (they are grouped into different categories; everything is simple: switch categories, select from the list, and click Create). Objects can be selected on the scene using the mouse. A selected object can be moved using the arrow keys and rotated around the Y axis by pressing the 8 key on the numeric keypad. The 5 key toggles the rotation direction.
We recommend running JupistarEditor-ver2 for a reason—this version of the editor allows you to switch between moving and editing by pressing F3. Unfortunately, the GUI window is still not accessible.
FPS Maker
A map editor for Xtreme3D by Nick Larin, the author of T.U.C.2. It's very old (2004), but it's fun, and it works flawlessly on Windows 8. The editor is created for simple shooters like Wolfenstein 3D—that is, levels consisting of a single floor and walls at 90-degree angles. The arrow keys switch the current cell, and Enter inserts the selected object (wall, floor section, etc.). The program includes a sample map download for Game Maker 5. Xtreme3d 0.9.9.0 is used.
