Our website is dedicated to Xtreme3D, an external 3D engine for the GameMaker game creation software, as well as other similar projects. We are a community of GameMaker fans and all things related to 3D game creation with this tool.
Xtreme3D is a nearly complete wrapper for the popular GLScene graphics library for Delphi, compiled into a DLL for use with other languages. It was originally written by a German programmer known as Xception. Its technologic level was comparable to games from 1997-2003 and, in principle, allowed making games graphically similar to Quake 2-3, Half-Life, GTA 3, The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, and so on (almost anything from the pre-shader era). After the release of version 2.0.2.0, the engine's author, unfortunately, abandoned his remarkable development without opening the source code, and he himself disappeared from the GameMaker user community. We were unable to contact him, so to further develop Xtreme3D, we decided to rewrite the engine from scratch, maintaining backward compatibility.
In addition to all versions of Xtreme3D and its additional materials, we've compiled a huge archive of all kinds of extensions, DLLs, engines, and demos related to 3D graphics for the classic GameMaker, as well as useful programs, documentation, free assets, and more. Our site also features a museum of rare GameMaker games.
Amateur game development has a rich history, and its memory must be preserved. GameMaker was a truly iconic program; for many, it was a first window into the world of programming, and an entire generation of developers holds fond memories of it. We think this deserves its own corner of the Internet.
This website is primarily aimed at users of the classic GameMaker who want to maintain their old projects by porting them to the latest GM or other languages. This often requires legacy libraries, tools, source code, and documentation, so our website can be very helpful in this regard, especially now that old GM sites are disappearing one after another, taking with them the materials that were the product of so much hard work by enthusiasts.
If you're drawn to the Internet of the 2000s, have an interest in retro software, and nostalgic about old-school game development, join us! Register on the forum, tell us about your project, or ask any questions you might have. Everyone is welcome (except spammers, of course).

To avoid confusion, it should be noted that our site is not for absolute beginners in game development.
Xtreme3D is primarily intended for those who already worked with it in the GM 6.x era and, for some reason, want to continue. For example, to update an old project or simply to continue working with the technology they're accustomed to. It's certainly not an alternative to mainstream engines like Unity or Unreal Engine. Whether it's suitable for real-world use today is up to you to decide. Let's be honest: GameMaker wasn't originally designed for 3D, and creating 3D games with it is always a challenge, a compromise, and a hackish task to overcome its limitations. This is the path of retrocomputing enthusiasts. If your goal is to quickly and efficiently release a commercial 3D product, GameMaker, even with extensions, might not be the best option.
