D (dlang)
D is a modern alternative to C++, a language with a simple and convenient syntax, support for classes, templates, and modules. D incorporates all the best features of the curly-bracket language family. You can use pure OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX, or SDL, and the language supports direct linking with any C library (there is also limited compatibility with C++). Compilers support Windows, Linux, and macOS. An excellent choice for personal projects and even commercial development, if you are okay with lack of easy-to-use UI frameworks. For game development, D is a very powerful language because of excellent machine code performance.
Orwell Dev-C++
A lightweight IDE for C/C++ based on the GCC toolchain. This project is a fork of the "classic" Dev-C++ from Bloodshed, differing from the original in that it features an updated compiler, support for 64-bit processors, and modern Windows versions. A significant advantage is C++11 support. It's an excellent option for beginners for learning C++, or for writing small programs for which installing the monstrous MSVS doesn't make sense.
Turbo Delphi Explorer Portable
A completely free version of Delphi, formerly released by CodeGear, a Borland division, and aimed at students and amateur programmers. It is functionally equivalent to Delphi 2006 with some minor limitations. It is an abandoned product, unsupported by the developer.
OpenXtreme
Our old project, an IDE for Xtreme3D 2.0 development, based on the Game Maker runtime and GML.
